Welcoming members from all areas of Sydney and NSW

Welcome to Clubmotorsport, the web site of Manly Warringah Sporting Car Club (MWSCC) – a CAMS affiliated club. Originally established in 1954 on Sydney’s northern beaches, the club has grown to become a leader in club level motorsport in NSW, with members drawn from all areas of Sydney and across the State.

Over the years the club has seen many well known drivers start their motor sport careers, including Formula One driver Frank Gardner, Leo and Ian Geoghegan, Kevin Bartlett, Gary Rush, multiple hillclimb champion Barrie Garner, Wakefield Park founder Paul Samuels, Jason Bargwanna and the Tilley brothers of historic touring car fame. However hundreds of less famous but equally important members continue to enjoy the thrill and excitement  of hillclimbs, supersprints, lap dashes and other entry level events.

For those interested in the management and operation of motorsport, the club also has a long history of training officials – flag marshals, scrutineers and other important stewards.

For many years, MWSCC was the operator of the Castlereagh club motorsport facility near Penrith, before the spread of housing developments lead to its closure.

Today, MWSCC is a key part of both the NSW Hillclimb and NSW Supersprint Championships. The club’s premier event, a round of the State Hillclimb Championship, is traditionally run at Goulburn’s Wakefield Park each year.

Our members are invited to all NSW Hillclimb and Supersprint championship rounds and most multi-club events organized by other clubs. Several members also participate in an array of State, National and Historic circuit racing.
